Preservation Maryland is an 80+ year-old nonprofit with a prolific record of advocacy, education, and funding for preservation efforts around the state of Maryland. With the advent of social and digital media, Preservation Maryland made the choice to bridge their love of the past with the future.
YDI was responsible first for updating Preservation Maryland’s brand, including an updated logo and fresh type choices. Their new logo, based on their existing phoenix mark, was simplified into a solid shape that could also serve as a decorative element when applied in variations. The new branding and design effort culminated in the refreshed Preservation Maryland’s website, which was designed to hold many different content types in a responsive platform.
